Here is a chance for you to give some feedback on our electrical grid (including use of renewables, the prices, and anything you have questions about)!
On March 30th, our electrical grid operator (ISO-New England) is holding a quarterly meeting for ratepayers in Portsmouth NH from 12pm-3:30pm. This is the meeting of the “Consumer Liaison Group” of ISO New England - the folks who operate the grid and make decisions about what is on the grid. We want you to come ask questions and hear from a diverse panel. You can register to join in person OR online - but there are a limited number of in-person spots so register now if you’re planning to attend. If you want to ensure you have a voice in the future of this group, attendance is important!
We recently elected a group of consumers (including me) to the Consumer Liaison Group in an effort to press the ISO on Climate issues, and on the need for the ISO to be more open and responsive to consumer questions and concerns.
Lunch will be served and then a panel will address the question: “What is the energy transition and what does it mean for ISO New England?” The panel members will be: Chris Skoglund of Clean Energy NH, Susan Muller of the Union of Concerned Scientists, Dan Dolan of New England Power Generators Association, and Michael Harrington, NH State Representative. There will be a fairly long time for questions from attendees. Please join us for this engaging and important opportunity to have consumers' voices be heard by the ISO!
